Strides for Change Components
- Checkpoint Stations
These areas are provided along the route for walkers to get beverages. - Hospitality Area (May not apply in certain markets) This area is designated for all Strides for Change VIPs, such as sponsors and/or companies that have raised a significant financial contribution in donations and/or sponsorship, MADD Chapter board members, and company leaders from the top teams. Entry to this area is restricted to VIPs only.
- Kid’s Zone
This area is designated for children to come and participate in activities, such as moonbounces, face painting, balloon characters, basketball shoot-outs, etc. - Pet Area (May not apply in certain markets)
This area is designated for walker’s prized pets: their dogs. All non-aggressive dogs on leashes are welcome to attend this event. This area typically provides dogs with items such as bandanas, doggy bags and treats. - Health and Safety Fair
This area is for all walkers to go through and get information on various issues that concern Canadians. - Tribute and Survivor Area
This area is for everyone. An area designated to honour all those affected by impaired driving and to spread hope for a future free of impaired driving.
